Iommi talks about having revolutionized Rock

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi gave an interview to Ultimate Classic Rock about Black Sabbath's final tour. In the conversation, Iommi was asked about how he chose the setlist for the last tour:

“It was difficult. Each of us made a list of what we’d like to play and we compared them. I had more songs I’d like to put on the setlist but we don’t have that much time. Besides, Geezer and I can play anything, but Ozzy’s voice has changed. Voices change, and he can’t sing a song like Symptom of the Universe anymore, which makes sense. We did it at the height of the 70s.”

Regarding having invented a genre, Tony Iommi said that the band immediately knew what they had done:

“We knew right away. We felt it. When we started playing the riff, we got goosebumps. We knew that's what we wanted to do, that's what we wanted to play. We were excited, and we loved it. But we didn't know if everyone would love it, but we loved it.”.
